Farhana Faruqe has been working in the tech industry over ten years in Trinidad and Tobago, Bangladesh, and the US. Initially, she worked as a research programmer, software developer, project manager with a background in agile methodology and technology research. Farhana has completed her master’s in Data Science from George Washington University (GWU) and working as a data scientist in healthcare domain. She is also a doctoral candidate in the Human-Technology Collaboration Program at GWU, and her research interest is in AI Literacy, Ethical AI, and Trustworthy AI. Farhana is a founding editorial board member of the AI and Ethics Journal (Springer).
Dr. Larry Medsker, Chief Scientist
Dr. Larry Medsker is a Research Professor in the Human-Technology Collaboration Lab at George Washington University (GWU), and he was the Founding Director of the Data Science graduate program. Dr. Medsker is a former Dean of the Siena College, where he was a co-founder of the Siena Institute for Artificial Intelligence. Professor Medsker’s research in AI includes work on artificial neural networks and hybrid intelligent systems, and has authored over 100 published articles and four books. He is the Public Policy Officer for the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) Special Interest Group on Artificial Intelligence. He is Associate Editor, Neural Computing and Applications and the Co-Editor-in-Chief of the AI and Ethics journal (Springer).
